Description

The explosion of Bitcoin, blockchain and virtual currencies has generated a lot of hype, and has made many developers and investors a great deal of money. However, the proliferation of blockchain projects has exposed a void in the law, as existing regulations are ill-equipped to deal with this new technology, and, as a result, many exciting projects have moved offshore or been stymied by existing U.S. laws and regulations.

As blockchain applications continue to gain prominence, the need for attorneys familiar both with the technology and how the laws apply to the technology, is expected to grow. This program on blockchain and virtual currency law will introduce you to the basics of the technology, the value proposition for virtual currencies, and the most significant current legal issues.
