Description

The intersection of law with deeply held religious beliefs can profoundly impact a person’s life. The UMKC Law & Religious Freedom Conference provides a safe forum where competing viewpoints on these powerful topics are civilly and respectfully discussed. This year’s conference will address the religious monument and public land use case before the Supreme Court, the current status of religious freedom under the First Amendment, the Kansas Adoption Protection Act and its impact on religious liberty and LGBT rights, and privileged communications in Missouri and Kansas.
