Description

Volunteering with Jackson County CASA is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of foster youth in our community. Our pro bono attorneys are asked to complete an additional 7 hours of training to be fully prepared and competent to independently handle a Jackson County CASA case in Family Court.

This complementary training session--focused on CASA’s unique multidisciplinary model and a deeper understanding of the child welfare system and its dynamics--will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 9:00am-4:00pm via webcast.  All of our volunteers must also submit to a criminal background and child abuse and neglect registry check.  For more information about CASA’s Pro Bono Program or other inquiries, please contact Judith Westmoreland, jwestmoreland@jacksoncountycasa-mo.org.
